Thanks for this good report, Karen. Should also mention that Dr. Goodall was also on record as an avowed opponent of rodeo's brutal calf roping event, and the use of electric prods and flank straps, having signed onto a New Zealand SAFE petition back in 2019. Hopefully, that will help with the passage of New York City's Intro 1255, Council Member Robert Holden's "Rodeo Animals Protection Bill."

Thank you for this Karen. My heart aches knowing Jane Goodall is no longer with us. I admired her SO.

Strangely, I awoke the morning before her death, thinking about her. I didn’t know why. I hadn’t dreamt about her or read about her in recent days. But it was such a strong sensation that I wondered if she had passed or was dying. I even mentioned it to my husband. I feel an ache of missing now, though I know her soul is soaring.

And what a sweet story about Winky Smalls and Dr. Jane. Love the photo capture. 🥰

Thanks for reading. What was so beautiful about Jane was that she made it clear she felt she was the one who was blessed to be spending time with Winky Smalls. I, however, get that blessing every day!
